Sacred Sound Journey

in the L’Gharix Temple Retreat Cave

Tibetan Singing Bowls have been used as an alternative therapy in the East for more than 6,000 years.

The sounds and vibrational frequencies of the sound bowls harmonises and ‘resets’ the body and both sides of the brain, instantly relieving stress, and removing toxins from the body.

Clinical studies have proven their effectiveness to reduce pain; lower blood pressure; improve sleep; decrease anxiety, depression, stress and mood disorders; and rehabilitate physical injuries and chronic pain; among others.

The sessions are held in a private cave at L’Gharix Temple Retreat. The cave is thousands of years old and was once connected to the Ġgantija Temples by a series of tunnels. In ancient times the temples and caves were said to be used by goddesses and priestesses.

My sound healing sessions use 3 Tibetan singing bowls that are all more than 450 years old. The amazing vibrational energy of these bowls, combined with the ancient healing power of the cave, provides the perfect environment to immerse yourself in a healing experience.

The cave has padded benches to sit or lie down.

During your hour’s session the bowls will be ‘played’ to produce varying frequencies and sounds to open your body’s meridians and chakras and re-align your energy flow. The sounds from the Tibetan bowls stimulate alpha waves in your brain, causing a deep state of relaxation and sense of peace.

Other things to note

You do not need to practice any particular religion or have any beliefs for Tibetan sound healing to work. Nor do you need to be particularly creative. Comfortable seating is provided. You do not need to bring anything. Photos are permitted of the buildings and cave, but not during the session.
